The Story Goes On Today

The Strory of the Bible begins with Creation. God made everthing, includeing the world and people. The first people wew Adam and Eve. BUt sin came into the world through Satan. HIs work has always been to resist God and destroy our lives. He makes sin look good and fun so we will want to do it, But sin is dark and evil, for it keeps us from walking with God.

God worked with many people through the years. The Bible stroy unfoldsd through people like Abraham, Isaac, jacob, David, and many others. These people sinned, but they showed us that God will take our sin away and forgive us.

Then Jesus came. He is God's Son, the Messiah the people of Israel Expected. Jesus worked miracles and changed lives. But more important, He died on the cross to save us from our sins. He rose from the dead to show us that He has power over death. He went up into heaven and is with God the Father. But He has sent the Holy Spirit to guide us.

We who live today have the Bible, God's Word. Through His world, God shows us how to have our sins forgiven. He shows us how to walk with Him. The story of the Bible, the power of God's word, lives on through you and me. we are not writing the Bible anymore. That was finished when John wrote Revelation on Patmos. But when we walk God's ways, we live out His Word. As we do, we look toward that " forever time " with God in Heaven.

Forever is a long, long time. Earth is a home that will not last forever. But heaven will last forever. The Lord will always be there. He invites us to come and live with Him in His wonderful home.

But we cannot go into heaven with our sins. We must come to Jesus and ask Him to take our sins away.

Then we must walk with Him each day. As we do, we will get to know Him better and better. Then when we finally go home to heaven, we will go tot live with a Friend.
